BIO:
Linda Wood Edwards (Playwright, Producer, Stage Manager): Linda is the President of LUE42 Enterprises and Northern Sabbatical Productions. Spring Alibi is her first play, written for Nakai Theatre's 24 Playwriting Competition in Whitehorse. She is still amazed at what can happen when you have the $35 application fee and the desire for a hot bath! After moving back to Edmonton, Linda applied to the Fringe (5th time lucky!) and with the help of guardian angel Gerald Osborn, amassed a dream team for the 2005 Edmonton International Fringe Festival. From there, a Sterling Award nomination for Best New Fringe Work and an invitation to the inaugural Capital Fringe Festival, with performances at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC. Spring Alibi is delighted to come "home" to Whitehorse. It will also be performed by Stuck-in-a-Snowbank Theatre in Yellowknife later in 2007. Linda write a play for young audiences called Beans and Rice and her new play My Team, My Stadium is scheduled to premiere at the 2007 Edmonton Fringe. When she's not writing, Linda is a governance and bylaw specialist for industry and professional associations, and an avid fan of the Canadian Football League.
