BIO - Tanya Lawrence ("Opal")
Tanya loves to perform and is thrilled to be part of this year's Fringe! She's a graduate of Capilano College's Theatre Program in North Vancouver, but more importantly, she's a continuing student of this thing called "Life". Recent performances include: Deathtrap, The Cripple of Innishman, and Night of the Iguana at Walterdale Playhouse and When the Wind Blows at the Edmonton Fringe; plus a couple of short films. Tanya also voices radio and tv commercials, and one day, hopes to venture into the world of documentaries and animated films, where she'll make oodles of money, buy a great condo, and host fantastic dinner parties…she loves wine and food almost as much as performing! To complement her acting and voicing, she's recently taken on the tremendous task of learning to play the guitar. Look for her belting out the tunes in a coffee shop near you…um, in a couple of years. Tanya thanks Eileen for asking her to be part of this journey, and Linda for such a fun script. She also thanks the "lovelies" on stage with her - Linda, Rebecca, Andy - you guys rock! And last, but not least, she thanks her family and friends for their continued support in realizing her dreams.
